My Pink Stamper 12 Days of Christmas Challenge Day 1

This is a card I made for the www.mypinkstamper.com 12 days of Christmas challenge. I actually though of this card a long time ago. My daughter has loved this song since her first Christmas. So i though this would be an appropriate way to incorporate into a Christmas themed card. I hope everyone enjoys.
Happy holidays happy blogging.

EXPLOSION!! BOX

Well this is my first attempt at making an explosion box. I saw it on Amy's blog at http://www.lovetocrop.com/ now that is an awesome blog! She made a really cool one with a bird house but has directions on a basic model for you to build on. So, I figured I'd start with a basic one and try to grow from there. This I made for some friends of mine that love their cats as much as i do! I didn't decorate the outside because I wanted them to be able to display it anywhere but I will definitely be expanding on this technique! Thanks Amy!!

Sorry for the pictures my craft room is under construction so i have to make due for now but I do wanna keep on bloggin!

I'll Have a Blue Christmas!

Oh OK not really! Christmas is never blue for me but for the http://www.celebratetheoccasion.blogspot.com/  any occasion blue and white challenge, I thought Christmas. I always have Christmas on the brain as of July 1st I play my Christmas music, and sing along with a smile. This one cut from the Christmas seasonal cartridge has always caught my eye and I knew it would be perfect. Let me know what you think.

I figured I'd stick with the French theme with my sentiment. I stamped it in light blue to keep with the theme.
I used the Christmas seasonal cartridge with the image cut at 4".
The pearl paper is Bazil and the white is Recollections.
The sentiment is Fiskars.
The card base is 4 1/4x4 1/4.
Now head on over to www.celebratetheoccasion.blogspot.com and add your project to the mix.

Bunny Fun

This is a card I created for the www.cookingwithcricut.blogspot.com challenge. I bought Kate's ABCs cartridge quite a while ago and this is the first time I have used it! I have to say I love it. I think this bunny is soo cute I thought it was perfect for this challenge. I hope everyone enjoys!

I used Kate's ABCs cartridge and the image is cut at 3".
The solid papers are Bazil I got from Big Lots.
The bling I got in the dollar section of Michaels, love that!
The print paper I believe came from Target it was a scrap so I'm not positive.
The sentiment is from Fiskars. "think big thoughts but relish in the simple pleasures"
I thought this was a very simple basic card, and I love the sentiment.
Now why don't you go over and join in on the bunny fun at www.cookingwithcricut.blogspot.com

Tink-You

This was a card I made to send to all of my daughters birthday goers for attending and the wonderful gifts. The overall theme of the gifts were Tinkerbell so I though I "Tink" them for everything.

I used my Tinkerbell cartridge with my Cricut first and the rest of the design just evolve from there. The paper is actually some i got from Office Max on clearance so I'm not sure of the brand. The ribbon is from Michaels their brand I used my Nestabilities to cut the oval and the scalloped oval. I inked them to match the paper and ribbon and printed the sentiment on my computer. I hope everyone enjoys.
P.S. when i first started I tried to organize my craft room and discarded some of the brand names for my products so if I do not mention it I apologize but I am trying to document it better :)

I know my blog has not been that active but I am definitely getting better and dedication time just to my blog. I have learned that I am happier when I take time to do things for me too! So I am throwing my hat or shall I say card into the challenge with all hopes of being the bestest designer I can be! So here it is.

The pattern paper is from colorbok and the solids are recollections from Michaels.
The pig n friends are from the "Country Life Cartridge".
They are cut with my Gypsy at 1.83'
The stamp I bought at a garage sale so i do not know the company.
The small square with the friendship quote is from the colorbok pad as well.
My house is being tented so as soon as I can get back in i will get the measurements. I thought I had it all together. lol..
Oh Yeah! as you can see my added color is Pink! I was hoping the white didn't count because well its not REALLY a color.
Well good luck to all with the challenge!

**UPDATE**
I finally got let back into my house .. no fun :(
Ok measurements are as follows.
The large brown rectangle that is the base is 10"x6" and folded at  3".
The inserts are 2 3/4" x 5 3/4" for the small with the stars and the larger insert is 5 3/4" x 6 3/4".

The top rectangle is 8 1/4" x 4 " folded at  3 1/4"
The inserts are small orange at 3 3/4 x 3 and the larger stars is at 4 3/4 x 4 1/4.

It's Shaping Up To Be A Good Christmas!

I have been thinking of making this card since I got my Gypsy in November of last year. I just didn't quite have all of the details worked out. Then I was visiting the blog www.celebratetheoccasion.blogspot.com and said I have the perfect idea for their Christmas Shape card challenge. It has taken me a while to do it but I think it turned out awesome.

Now I was going to add stickles to the windows to look like snow but I didn't want to over do it. You could hang stockings with your family names or the sentiment. I was also thinking of getting a metal sign that said "Oh the weather outside is frightful" and hang it on the window handles to keep it closed. I definitely have though of a number of ways to alter this. I do however believe for my first of this type of card simple is better. I hope everyone enjoys. Happy July!!

Trying to master shapes!!

These are a few cards I made recently, I love shape cards and have been trying to challenge myself to make them more. I have done the owl before as you will see in my last post. but I am trying to think outside the plain paper box and explore pattern paper more. I have to say i love the owl with the yellow eyes, just gotta find them in glow in the dark! I have the images of the front of the card and the inside part with the sentiment, I just print those from my computer. I used my Gypsy to weld the shapes and have found the + button to make the images on seperate sheets for some cuts, LOVE THAT!! I still have some tweekign to do on my printer allignment but otherwise I like them so far. I hope you enjoy. These are being submitted to the wonderful blog http://www.cookingwithcricut.blogspot.com/ for their anything goes challenge.

The Quotes.
Owl- Can I get a Hoot Hoot and Hope your birthday is a Hoot!
Fish- Fishy Kisses
Frog- Sorry I frog-got and If you kiss me ill be your prince

I hope everyone enjoys these as much as I have.!!

SUNNY challenges

I was speaking to some family up north a few weeks ago before this heat wave hit and they said the were jealous of out sunny days. So I told them I'd send some sunshine. This cars is perfect for these sunny challenge. Please check these blogs out they are some of my favorites!

WOW! How Time Flies!

When people tell you that time flies so fast when you have children you never truly understand until you are there. I feel like my daughter was just born yesterday and she turned three just last month! On that note, I am trying to get back to many of the things I love and though I have made a few cards I have not posted enough.

I was reading www.mypinkstamper.com as I often do, she posted a beautiful birthday card for a challenge she was involved in and opened up her blog to anyone who would like to post a birthday card, well i'm game. No time like the present to get back in the saddle. This is a shape card I made using the "Paisley" cartridge.

Well I hope everyone enjoys this card it was a "hoot" to make! I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Orginazation at its best!

Finally! Well I don't think you ever truly have your craft room fully organized but this is where mine is at now and I love it. Well I took my time and advantage of the Michaels and JoAnn fabrics discounts, coupons and sales and "It's Alive"! Without further delay....drum roll please.. my pictures...
This is my Cricut station. I have a chair on either side of the table to work on my projects.
Above that is my stamp station. I am going to be moving them all into CD cases soon so they fit a
a little better. Also, I'll be getting a label maker soon and can mark what season or celebration
each area holds.

This is a close up of the stamp station. P.S. Thanks dad for giving this to me. It was his mail station.

This is my catch all station. On the very top are some canvas baskets for miscellaneous stuff.
The top shelf are for displaying some of my favorite cards.
The next shelf uses stackable bins for all kinds little things.
and the bottom is my ribbon spool holder. I am going to be getting rid of the spools and putting the
ribbon on clips (I'll show u) to make it easier to access.
See the binder clips on the end I am changing over to those so I don't have to unload the entire spool
each time I need to use some ribbon. I hate cutting a piece bigger than I need just because I don't
want to take the whole spool off. Also, this prevents unraveling, of which my cats will not be happy with.
This is the best part, These are some book shelves my uncle made. I love them because they are really heavy duty and can take a lot of weight, unlike a lot of that particle board stuff you get now. There are boxes for each type/color paper. The pink one hold all my Cuttlebug dies and embossing folders. The top hold my 12x24 paper, markers, some baskets and my Cuttlebug. The top shelves have all of my Cricut cartridges, my Gypsy, the Gypsy accessories and lots of embellishments. I picked up some little drawers at Target, those hold all of my adhesives, pop dots, small paper packs, rulers and envelopes.
The rest is a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

OH YEAH! My Stickles are held on this one with Velcro. I got that tip on You Tube, though I do not remember her name I am sorry.
Under the ribbon storage is some cubbies but they are a bit in disarray and that is where I keep my paper cutters, Like I said always a work in progress! I hope everyone enjoys!

Monkey Card! Just Because

Ok I finally got my entire craft room all organized and it is fabulous! So I thought I'd make a card. This is using the create a critter cartridge. I put the monkey on a wobbler and attached the vine to him so when he is "hangin out" he is really swingin'. This is majority DCWV and Bazzil cardtock. Blank inside white card. This card turned out really really cute!! I hope everyone enjoys!!

Fantabulous Spring!

I have to say there are a few blogs that I check all the time because well I just love em'. http://www.fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/ is one of them. This challenge/crawl is a great one for this time of year! Spring! I just love it, it represents new life and new beginings. There are a few colors that scream spring. This challenge/crawl required three of them green, pink and yellow! MMMMMM YELLOW PEEPS!! OK I was getting all excited for my PEEP filled Easter Basket. This card does open however I have concidered just making this a single piece card, perfect for sliding in and Easter Basket for that special someone, I am in negotions with the Easter Bunny for a bulk purchase deal!! :) I used some scraps for this whole project. I am going to try to be a little more dilligent with keeping notes on products I use. I did stickle the PEEPS cuz we all know they have some fantabulous sugary sprinklies on them, and again I will say MMMMMMM PEEPS!! I did use the herringbone Cuttlebug Folder on the base of the basket, however I used a rolling pin to texture it instead of the Cuttlebug to make it more subtle (a friend of mine told me about that.) I did not want the standard solid colored eggs so I went for my most Easteriffic prints to make my eggs. The stamp says "some bunny loves you". Happy Spring to everyone I hope it is just as sweet for you as it will be for me!

Happy Birthday Flower!

Well  I'm definitely getting a bit quicker at making cards! I thought this was a basic card that could go for anyone, any gender or any age! I am still trying to get a system down for crisp stamping but I'm getting there! LOL. Well This card as with many of mine are a mish mash of products I have.
There is some Bazil paper, Recollections and a 3D butterfly from Jolee's set I bought 3 years ago!
I used the "Freshly Picked" cartridge for this card.
I like the simplicity of this card and well it's just fun! I hope you all enjoy!
Of course we all know that no matter what age we are it is perfection! Till the next year that is!
This card is for the ever so wonderful blog challenge http://www.celebratetheoccasion.blogspot.com/

Hugs, kisses and happy wishes!

April Showers!

Kick your heals spring has sprung, April showers are here!!
I just love this time of year, rain and all. It is amazing how something so many dread, rain, is responsable for what so many people love flowers, trees, fresh fruit and vegies!  Each season has it's beauty however spring is defenitly the most colorful and tasty! On to the challenges.
http://www.fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/ has a challenge using and umbrella.
I used so many different products.
The card is from Target (found a huge pack of card on clerance plain white with envelopes)
The solid papers are recollections. Except the green which is bazil.
The cloud came in a pack from Big Lots I forgot the brand though.
The grass print is from a DCWV pack with some really cool natural prints.
The stamp is Hampton Art.
I colored the stamp with Martha stewart glitter markers.
I inked the sides of the stamp frame and card edge with cats eye ink.
The Boots and the Umbrella were cut from the Pasley Cartridge.
P.S. My craftroom is getting better by the minute! Pictures really soon to come!

NEW HOME

OK So, I have come to realize that I am not going to give myself a must do for a certain number of posts. I will be posting more often than I have been though. I have been putting quite a few hours into my craft room organization. It was really disorganized and I realized it was taking me over 2 hours to put together a card  because I couldn't fine anything I needed (not cool). So several trips to Michaels and Target and it is almost "ALIVE"! I'll post those pictures soon too. This card only took me 10 minutes to get it all put together. muuuch better:) Thanks again for all of those who are still keepin up with me:)

P.S. I originally intended this card for http://www.celebratetheoccasion.blogspot.com/ a cool challenge for those who like to participate in challenges. I happened to miss the deadline (by a few hours grrrr). Hope you all enjoy.

I used Recollections A2 card.
Cricut Country Life Cartridge
My paper is a collaboration of many different pieces of scrap (love that) sorry I am not sure of the brands.
Stickles Cinnamon on the weather vane at the top of the silo.

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop "Spring"

It's that time of year, Spring is here! Don your gloves, dig some dirt, plant a seed it's worth the work. It will give you pleasure for months to come, and maybe even some food for your tummy tum tum.
I created this seed packed off the "Freshly Picked" cartridge. I measured the seed packet I bought and used my Gypsy to adjust the size to fit! You can label the seeds or even give them as a surprise with just a few instructions and your friends will have a gift now and a surprise later. I am going to make a gift "basket" though I will be using a pot. I'm going to add some organic fertilizer, some seeds, a pair of gloves and a dibble. Everything needed to plant a seed except dirt and water. lol. I hope my friends like this gift, I know I would love to receive it!
I used recollection cardstock for the seed packet.
Believe it or not I used a drawer liner remnant for the hat background! (I throw nothing away lol)
Freshly Picked Cricut cartridge
Studio G I Clear stamp for the "Color your WORLD" stamp. (I can't wait tomorrow I get to buy some My Pink stamper stamps)!!
Hampton Art stamps (for the jelly beans though I think they look like seeds lol)
Martha Stewart Glitter Marker set.
I hope everyone enjoys.

My new Cartridge "Lacy Lables"

Ok so I have to say I love this cartridge however, I am having difficulty getting my Cricut to cut it well because of the intricate cuts. I used my Cuttlebug folder on the background paper, I believe it was the "Victoria" pattern and I used my brand spankin new "Lacy Labels" cartridge I got at Walmart the other day. I have to figure out a way to get the lacy trim on without getting my glue on the rest of the area, as you will see in the picture (any hints would be greatly appreciated.) I used Bazil cardstock for everything but the card base that was from a print paper I got at Big Lots. I really like the way it turned out minus the glue. Oh! I also used some stickles on the recess patterns.

Hope Moo Get Well

Well this card I made for my step-dad he is going through a tough time and I just wanted to make him smile. I looove cows so you will definitely see them often on my blog. lol. I used "Create A Critter" for the cow and the milk jug. I embossed the paper with "D'Vine Swirl" folder from my Cuttlebug. Hope everyone enjoys. I'm off to create a little something for some challenges!

I'm Baaack!!

Ok. So as I said initially I had to borrow my friends internet to get going on my blog. However, I now am up and fully running with my own connection and ready to go. I am going to challenge myself to make three cards a week or more. I bought a few new cartridges and I think I'm going to give em' a try and dust off a few of my oldie but goodies. I have been reading a few blogs on my cell phone, but will be back commenting now. Thanks to everyone who has been commenting in my absence! I am going to add a quick picture to this post of my favorite card that I made. I am a bit of a Christmas enthusiast and LOVE making Christmas, well... anything. This was a card I made before I had embellishments, pop dots, stickles etcetra. Hope everyone enjoys!! :)

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #48 Emboss It!

This is my card for the "Fantabulous Cricut Emboss It! Challenge." I love my Cuttlebug so this challenge was a lot of fun for me. I went through my folders and picked one I rarely use and challenged myself to put it to work. This is what I came up with.

I'm not sure which folder this is but it has this elegant paisley on it. I lightly rubbed a color box gold ink pad over it to highlight the pattern a little. I got the ribbon in a grab bag of ribbons pieces so I'm not to sure what brand it is. The black paper is Recollections and the gold is DCWV. The stamp is from a Heidi Grace, for you stamp collection. I thought this was a classic card than cam be used for just about any occasion. I hope everyone likes it!  Be sure to head over to http://www.fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/ to see what everyone else made.

Whoops!! Cricut Cardz Challenge Maybe Not

Whoops!! Well I was so excited to do the "Cricut Cardz Challenge". I love St.Patricks day. I just think it's fun and I don't even drink. I put my card together, of which I had in my head since I got my "Simply Charmed" cartridge. DOOH! I did not read all the way through, and I have a shamrock or two in my card so I will not be entering it into the challenge, DARN! However, I still wanted to share it with you because I think it turned out cute.

I put my leprechaun on a wobble I had a video to show it but can't seem to get it to upload correctly:( Well I hope you all enjoy. Happy St. Patricks Day to all of you Irishwomen/men and Irish at heart!

Cooking with Cricut Swirls and Twirls C-18

Well I will say I do not have too many cartridges with swirls and twirls so this "Cooking with Cricut Challenge" was a bit challenging for me, and let me know it's time to go shopping. I love Easter so I thought I would somehow incorporate that into my design. I grabbed my Easter cartridge and went to town. I also used my Disney Tinkerbell cartridge for the beautiful swirly and twirly butterfly. So, this is what I came up with. I hope you all enjoy.

As you can tell I love glitter, lol! I used DCWV glitter paper for the butterfly pieces, Colorbok paper for the basket base, AC glitter paper for the handle and a little Martha Stewart glitter for the border around the butterfly. After putting the butterfly all together I realized the underneath was white and a bit plain so I added some green DCWV sticker paper underneath, however when I cut it out I did shadow instead of the actual cut of the image so I had a bit of hang over, lol, so I threw some Martha glitter on the sticky part that hung over and gave it yet another color. I tried to take the picture in the sunlight to get the pretty "bling" of it it didn't come out all the way but I hope you can see it a little. Thanks, in advance to all of my followers, viewers and commenters. Now head on over to http://www.cookingwithcricut.blogspot.com/ and see what everyone else has come up with!

Fellow bloggers this is a call for help.

As you all can see I have just begun blogging, and well I LOVE IT!! However, i am seeing lots and lots of new things I do not know how to use or what to do when/if I get them. I was hoping some of you could help me out. So, here they are in no particular order, lol, my questions.

1) Please leave me a comment with links to challenges or blogs that you contribute to I really like to take challenges it encourages me to think outside my box and try new thing.

2) What are digital stamps and cut files? How do you use them?

3)  For anyone who does you tube videos, How do you edit the raw video?

4) Also list your one MUST HAVE!! for a Card Making or Scrapbooking supply!

5) How can I (eventually) do a challenge with the box at the bottom for people to add their blogs and pictures to the challenge and not just a comment.

I truly have realized there are some warm helpful people out there so far, so I am sure you all will give me lots of tips, tricks and feedback!! This blogging community rocks!

Cooking With Cricut, Emboss it Challenge

I must say I had never heard of a Cuttlebug until I started surfing you tube for videos to help me with my Cricut. However, I quickly realized that quite a few people used it with beautiful results. So i bought one with a bunch of folders and have to admit I am slightly addicted. Part of the reason I started making cards is because I was not a fan of the one dimensional cards but that was all that was primarily available, so this was an answer (along with POP DOTS) to my problem. I think often cards to say I love you are very, well... pink. Trust me I love pink however most guys don't soooo.. this was my answer to that. Though there is Valentines day to celebrate love I do not believe that is the only time to say it. This is a card to say "I RUFF YOU" anytime. I hope you enjoy.
I used the cricut cartridges Plantin Schoolbook for the heart and Create a Critter for the puppy, the Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder for the embossing and my Martha Stewart punch for the trim. Please visit www.cookingwithcricut.blogspot.com to see everyones entries.

Cricut Cardz Challenge #62 "Cup of Cheer"

Well can't we all use one of those now and again, A Cup of Cheer!!! Well, this is my first shape card and I thought, what a good time to try it. It is not exactly what was invisioned however, I think it turned out pretty cool. I don't drink coffee hower have a hankering for tea every so often (ok, ok, ok, everyday!) So I thought I'd share my cup of tea with you. A wise man once said "my cup runneth over", I know it seems silly to say however in these trying times for our country where my cup runeth someone else's is dry, so I have one for me and one to share. I hope you enjoy.

I used my Gypsy to weld the cups and used the flip function so when closed it looks like one, and they are a toatal of 8 inches long or 4 inches when closed. I Used the cup from the Gypsy Wonderings cartridge and my cuttlebug for the embossing. The greeting was printed via my computer "Two for Tea, Tea for Two." I also added a little stickles for some bling!! I just put a spot of glue behind the tags on the bags so they would not hang out the bottom of the card.  Though you could tuck them in and use the pocket for your sentiment. I hope everyone enjoys, I know I am.

PS. Thanks everyone for the great feedback so far, you guys ROCK! I do try to return comments and follow as many as possible. I'll be talking to you all soon :)

Cricut Cardz Challenge #61

I have decided to enter the Cricut Card Challenge. I have to say this is a bit of a 360 degree turnabout for me because that is one of three main things I looked for on youtube when starting to get inspiration. I remember saying "WOW I could never come up with something like that", well as they say (not sure still who "they" are:) "Never say Never". I look at my first card I made with my Cricut to what I'm doing now and hope to only get better, it has been a fun and exciting journey.

I used the Create a Critter cartridge for this card and some Stickles for the dots on the letters. I hope you all enjoy! Happy Crafting!

My Pink Stamper BlogHop!!

Well I have been trying to get a post going with some of my creations for a while however my fantastic (sarcasm) computer has not allowed me to do so. So I have to borrow a friends computer, but I am determined this time so I hope I get it right!!

This is a card I made for Valentines day. I actually saw the leopard printed paper and was inspired by it! I actually bought it over two years ago while buying things for my daughters scrap book and forgot about it till I unpacked a box of crafting supplies and there it was (angels singing/halo of light appears). Well the little hampster on the wheel in my brain started going and this is what came out. I hope it inspires everyone!!
I used my gypsy and the Create a Critter and Winter Woodlands cartridges, Recollections cardstock and a little BLING!! The tag i printed on my computer then used my cricut to cut around it using the "center point" button. It says "You are Paw-sitively Purr-fect".I hope you all like it.
